Before the NHL playoffs kick off, you may be wondering what to do to take the parties to the next level. Or perhaps you are just looking to prepare a tasty meal for when you sit in to watch NHL playoffs online. Regardless of your intention, certain meals are the best for this season. Aside from the ease of preparation, they are also scrumptious and inexpensive.

  1. Mac and Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1pounds minced beef
  • onion diced
  • 1 egg
  • 10 small cubes of cheddar
  • a tablespoon of ground pepper
  • a cup of panko breading
  • 1 cup of prepared macaroni and cheese.

Preparation:

Preheat your oven to 3750 F. Prepare the meatballs by combining the beef, shredded cheese, egg, onion, pepper, and bread. Divide the mixture into desired portions preferably 10 or more and then flatten them into circles. Top each portion of the ball with macaroni, and one cheese cube. Shape the meatballs and place them on a pan. Bake for 25 minutes then remove and serve. The entire preparation should take about 30 minutes.

  1. Bacon Explosion

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of thick cut bacon
  • 2 pounds sausages
  • a cup of barbeque sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of seasoning.

Preparation:

Cut the bacon in five by five inches to form the weave. The measurements could change, but if you are looking for the perfect “explosion,” then you should stick to five by five inches. Add your preferred choice of seasoning on top of the weave. Add some sausages on top of the seasoned weave. Add another layer of the bacon weave and roll back to eliminate air pockets between the sausages. Season the outside with barbeque sauce then place in the oven. Cook the bacon explosion at 2250 F for about an hour. Serve while hot. The entire preparation should take about 2 – 3 hours.

  1. Snack Mix

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups corn cereal
  • 2 cups cheerios
  • Garlic powder
  • 3 cups of Shreddies cereal
  • Pretzel sticks
  • 2 cups pine nuts
  • a cup of melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • Onion powder

Preparation:

Position two racks in your oven and preheat to 3250 F. Stir the cereals and pretzel in a bowl. Whisk the butter, seasoned salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Sprinkle the cereal mixture and toss to combine. Divide the mixture and place into two baking trays. For about 20 minutes, bake in the preheated oven then serve and enjoy. The entire preparation should take about 30 – 45 minutes.

  1. Tequila Lemonade Slushy

At some point, you will need something to wash down the food while watching an NHL playoff clash. This is the best alternative to the customarily frozen desserts, and it only takes a few minutes to prepare. Of course, before you make this slushy, you will need to know your favorite choice of tequila or at the very least, how to choose good tequila.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of seeded and diced watermelon
  • a cup of tequila of your preferred choice
  • 2 teaspoonfuls of unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup of ice-cold water
  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup of Splenda sweetener

Preparation:

Blend the watermelon cubes and then filter using a mesh screen. Mix the gelatin with cold water in a pan and leave it to sit for a minute. Cook over low heat until all dissolves. Mix all the remaining contents and put in the fridge. Serve chilled during or after meals.
